At J.P. Morgan, Dr. Kapnick advises clients on climate, energy, biodiversity, and sustainability, overseeing the firm’s climate thought leadership strategy. She combines scientific expertise and financial insight to guide decision-making at the intersection of climate science, economics, and national security.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, she served as Chief Scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), appointed by the President of the United States. In this role, she led NOAA’s scientific and technological priorities, including climate intervention, greenhouse gas monitoring, marine biodiversity, and climate security.
Dr. Kapnick’s participation will offer the conference attendees a unique perspective on how science and finance can work together to advance resilient and sustainable port cities.
