From November 18–21, New York City welcomed hundreds of international urban and maritime leaders for the 20th World Conference Cities & Ports, co-hosted by NYCEDC and AIVP. The event showcased major progress on the “Harbor of the Future”, by NYCEDC including the Brooklyn Marine Terminal vision plan, the “Blue Highways” initiative, and innovative waterfront projects connecting ports, communities, and sustainable development.
“Port cities stand at the crossroads of the world’s greatest transitions — ecological, economic, and social,” said AIVP General Manager Bruno Delsalle. “In New York, we have seen once again how innovation and collaboration can turn challenges into shared opportunities. Together, cities and ports can build the sustainable and resilient waterfronts our planet needs.”
