Trained as a civil engineer, Carl Laberge has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Saguenay since 2015. With more than 25 years of experience in engineering, management, and project development, Carl Laberge is recognized for his leadership and strategic vision, which have greatly influenced the growth and strategic positioning of the Port of Saguenay, which is preparing to develop one of the largest industrial-port areas in Canada.
Carl Laberge holds a master's degree in engineering as well as a master's degree in business administration. He has chaired the Canadian delegation of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) and the Association des administrations portuaires canadiennes (AAPC). In addition, he sits on several boards of directors, including that of the Société de développement économique du Saint-Laurent (SODES).
Scott Lagueux is a global waterfront and maritime strategist with more than three decades of experience helping ports, coastal communities, and tourism destinations plan for the future. As Director of Waterfront Planning at Moffatt & Nichol, he has led projects in more than 80 countries focused on cruise tourism, port resilience, waterfront redevelopment, blue economy initiatives, and destination development. Scott's work centers on balancing infrastructure, environmental stewardship, economic growth, and community identity to create places that are both operationally effective and memorable. He frequently advises public and private sector clients on emerging trends shaping maritime destinations worldwide.
