About the World Conference Cities & Ports
The World Conference Cities & Ports is the flagship event of the AIVP network. Each year, it brings together an average of 300 participants: local elected officials and political leaders, port authority executives, government representatives, international organizations, economic and industrial players, experts, researchers and planners, and project managers.
The conference provides a unique opportunity for dialogue, sharing experiences, and promoting projects and initiatives that contribute to more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable port areas. It also provides an opportunity to make the voice of port cities heard on the international stage, affirming both their uniqueness and their vulnerability in the face of economic, social, and environmental change, as well as their leadership in researching and implementing solutions to adapt to major contemporary challenges.
Since 1988, AIVP has organized 20 global conferences, contributing to the debate on the future of city-port territories.
