The Call for Presentations for the 2026 World Conference Cities & Ports has been extended until 5 June

Following the strong interest generated by the 21st AIVP World Conference Cities & Ports, the Call for Presentations has officially been extended until 5 June 2026 at 11:59 pm CEST.

This extension offers a new opportunity for local authorities, port authorities, researchers, urban planners, companies, international organisations and civil society stakeholders to propose a presentation and share their projects, initiatives and experiences.

Organised from 3 to 6 November 2026 in Dunkirk (France), the conference will bring together experts and decision-makers from around the world around the theme:

“Cities and Ports in Motion: Time for Action!”

In a context shaped by energy transition, climate challenges, industrial transformation and growing social expectations, the event aims to foster dialogue and share practical solutions for the future of port city territories.

Proposals may address one of the conference’s three main thematic tracks:

  • Sharing risks and knowledge
  • Sharing solutions to improve living environments
  • Sharing land management and uses

AIVP particularly encourages original contributions, innovative case studies and a diversity of approaches and territories represented.

The Call for Presentations is open to:

  • practitioners and professionals,
  • researchers and academics,
  • representatives of public organisations,
